How often does my community's email digest go out, and what goes in it?
The digest is the email that brings members back to your community. It starts on Automatic, which sends daily while your community is busy and on Mondays when it is quiet, and it always shows posts from different people. About a minute to change.

It counts the posts and the people in your last 7 days, and says what Automatic is doing right now: sending daily, or on Mondays.

Your community this week, and what Automatic is doing.
Choose how often
Automatic: daily while at least 7 posts from at least 3 different people went up in the last 7 days, otherwise on Mondays. We check each morning. Daily: every morning there is something new, best for busy communities. Weekly (Mondays): the best of the week, best for quieter ones.

Automatic, Daily or Weekly (Mondays).

It is under the three choices. The next digest follows your choice.

Know what your members get
The best posts since their last digest, one per person: 3 in a daily digest, 5 in a weekly one. If someone posted more, a line under their post says so, for example Rebecca also posted 1 more, with a link to the community. A live you ran comes first, and no digest is sent when nothing new happened.

One post per person, and a line for the rest.

Can I approve new members before they get into my community?
Yes. Switch on approval and anyone who asks to join waits in a Requests list in Members until you let them in, the way a private LinkedIn or Facebook group works. People you invite, and people who pay, still go straight in. About five minutes to set up.
Can I change a member's post before I approve it?
No. A post waiting for your approval can only be approved or rejected, so you cannot change a member's words. If a few words need changing, approve it and add a comment, or message the member and reject it.
Can I check comments before they go up?
Turn on comment approval and every member comment waits for you. It's a separate switch from the one for posts.
