How do I test my payment page, then take real payments?
A new price starts in test mode, so you can buy your own course with Stripe’s test card and nobody is charged. A test purchase takes about three minutes.

Find Test, then go live
Open Products, then Courses, then Manage on your course, press Publishing, then Open beside How people get in, and go to Test, then go live. On a phone, press the menu button at the top right first.

Press Open beside your payment page
Press Open beside Your payment page, or Copy link to open it on your phone. The Take real payments button sits under it, for when you have finished testing.

Look for TEST MODE: no real cards will be charged. at the top of your payment page. Buyers would see it too.

Pay with the test card
Type your name and an email you can read, press Continue to payment, then type 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date, any 3 numbers and any ZIP or postcode.

Press Complete order
Press Complete order, which shows your price. You then see what a buyer sees: Order confirmed, you’re in.

Going live
How do I take real payments?#
Back on Test, then go live, press Take real payments: the box shows LIVE and Real payments are on., and every buyer’s card is charged from then on.
How do I test again later?#
Press Switch to test mode on Test, then go live.
If Stripe is not connected, the box offers Connect Stripe instead; if your connection is a test one, it links to Your Stripe settings →. If Stripe needs more details, it says Stripe needs a few more details before you can take payments., and you finish them in your Stripe account.
