I removed my domain by mistake. How do I get my website back on it?

Add the same domain back within 14 days. Once it's verified, its card offers your sites back with one button: Put them back.

Updated 1 October 2026

Putting them back only touches what was on this domain before. A site you've since put on another domain is named on the card and stays where it is, and a site you've deleted since isn't offered. After the domain is verified, the card counts down Securing in, then shows Secured.
Within 14 days, on a domain you connected yourself The offer lasts 14 days from when the domain was removed. If it was one of the free coaching addresses we set up for you, press Help and tell us instead.
  1. Open Settings, then Domains

Press Connect Existing at the top. If that domain was your only one, you see two choices instead: press Connect My Domain under I already have a domain.

Settings, then Domains, and the Connect Existing button.

    Take me there
  2. Type the same domain and press Continue

Type it the way it was, like yourname.com or community.yourname.com. The next screen shows the two records to add at your domain provider.

Step 1 of 3: the domain you're connecting.

  3. Change the verification record to its new value

The verification record (TXT) gets a new value every time a domain is added, so change the old one at your provider. If you didn't touch anything there, the pointing record (A) is already right. Then press the button that says you've added the records.

A new value for the verification record. The pointing record is the same as before.

  4. Press Put them back on the domain's card

The card says Before this domain was removed it showed, and names each site with its ending, like (home) or (/offer). If there was one site, the button says Put it back. Until the domain is verified, the card says you can put them back once it is.

The card names what was on it, with Put them back beside it.

    Take me there
  5. A site that's on another domain stays there

The card says that site is now on the other domain, so it stays there. Put them back leaves it alone and brings back the rest.

A site already on another domain is named, and not moved.

  6. Read the box before you press Remove

Remove this domain, in the three-dot menu on a domain's card, names every site on it and its ending, and says they stop working straight away. Keep it closes the box and changes nothing.

The Remove box says exactly what stops working.

    Take me there
You will know it worked when your site opens at your domain again, and the domain's card shows your site's name instead of offering it back.
